NAESM (National AIDS Education & Services for Minorities) Inc. was founded in 1990 to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic that infected and affected the friends, neighbors, and partners of its founders. The organization addresses health disparities that disproportionately impact the African American community, particularly Black gay men.

Darwin Thompson, Executive Director of NAESM, Inc., set a goal to raise $30,000 by his 30th birthday to provide vital resources for NAESM’s young adult resource center.
THE PROBLEM:
The campaign needed to appeal to varying demographics; NAESM’s corporate benefactors and Darwin’s personal supporters. Additionally, the solution needed to be economical and easily implemented by NAESM’s staff.
THE SOLUTION:
I provided an integrated marketing strategy that focused on reaching the targeted demographics both online and at events.

First, I designed flyers for event interactions. Next, I developed a website. The website served as an information hub and payment terminal. I drove traffic to the website by leveraging NAESM and Darwin’s eight existing social media accounts. I crafted shareable posts with information and direct calls to action. As a finishing touch, I provided banners that were used across all social media accounts and on NAESM’s corporate website.

The campaign was a success!
